Cathedral Trust Fundraising Appeal Launch
5 September 2012

WINCHESTER CATHEDRAL TRUST will be launching a major capital fundraising appeal at Evensong on Sunday 23 September at 3.30pm.
A grand total of £19M is required for the restoration, refurbishment and development of the Cathedral, and its facilities for cathedral-users and visitors.
Over the next few years, the Cathedral hopes to complete fabric restoration, install a new three-level visitor exhibition, refurbish and extend the existing Song School and Education Centre, renew the existing sound system, and work with conservators to restore the unique Renaissance Mortuary Chests.
If the Cathedral’s Heritage Lottery Bid is successful, £10M will be made available to the Cathedral, however a further figure of £9M will still need to be raised.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend this service where the appeal will be launched.
To find out more about the appeal launch please read this message from the Dean.
