Rector of the Castel and Vicar of St Matthew's, Cobo
(two parishes held in plurality in the Deanery of Guernsey)
We are looking for an energetic priest of Central Churchmanship with a proven:
- passion to see churches grow
- inspiration to engage families in worship
- skill to lead a willing team
- sensitivity to serve the spiritual needs of all
The postholder will be the Rector of the Castel and the Vicar of St Matthew's, Cobo, working with two experienced Lay Readers, who both bring their varied gifts to the parishes. The Incumbent may also call on the support of Deanery Clergy, including a pool of retired Clergy. The parishes have a full range of lay people who work in the areas of Sunday Schools, Parent Toddler Groups, Family Friends, Sick and Bereavement Teams, Choirs and Young Peoples' Groups.
The appointed person will live in the parsonage house situated next to St Matthew's Church, but will be expected to spread his or her time equally between the two parishes.
